"Yakiv" was the very first Ukrainian project that was selected to "eQuinixe Europe" script development program.

Period of the famine in Ukraine 1930-1933.

The script is based on the real story of Yakiv Drobot, a real historical character. He was the first head of the collective farm "Nezamozhnyk" and he did not allow a famine to happen in his village of Velykyi Khutir, having saved 2800 people. Dedicated communist who refuses party ideology and saving people from starvation.

Statistics:

Of the three thousand inhabitants of the village of Velykyi Khutir 200 people have died between 1931 and 1933. At the same time, 4.5 million people have died in Ukraine during the artificially created famine.

In June 1933 in Ukrainian SSR were dying: every day — 34 170 people;
every hour — 1 420 people;
every minute — 24 people.

In many regions of Ukraine in September 1933 about two thirds of students didn't come to school.
